These shortbread-like powdered sugar cream cookies are super fun and festive when dipped into melted chocolate, and then rolled in edible decorations!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for rolling
  • 1 cup chocolate bits, melted
  • Chopped nuts, coconut, chocolate jimmies

Instructions

  1. Cream butter; add sugar gradually; add vanilla.
  2. Sift flour, cornstarch and salt together; blend into creamed mixture; chill.
  3. Shape teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, triangles, crescents or bars.
  4. Place on greased cookie sheets.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees about 12 minutes.
  6. Cool; roll in powdered sugar.
  7. Dip part of each cookie in chocolate then in nuts, coconut or jimmies.
