Our ’67 Pontiacs are the most expertly engineered automobiles we’ve ever designed. There are new 400 and 428 cubic inch V-8s. The Bonneville Salt Flats were Ground Zero for Pontiac’s performance movement on Day One. And the Bonneville. SSE is a big, quick, powerful showcase for everything we’ve learned since then.
Underneath its imposing exterior is a roller-cammed, 3.8L 3800 V6 with sequential-port fuel injection. Its 165 horses are herded through a specially calibrated 4-speed automatic. The smooth-riding, sharp-handling 4-wheel independent suspension is augmented with an anti-lock brake system and automatic level control. All-season 16″ Goodyear Eagle GT+4 radials ride your choice of Cross-Lace or Aero-Lite aluminum wheels.
