What made this tasty classic country apple pie recipe from the 70s so special? Well, there were two big differences when compared to traditional apple pies.

First, the apple mixture got a flavor boost from unsulfured sugarcane molasses — and secondly, instead of a top crust, it had a crumb topping like you might find on apple crumble.

We use an oven-ready Pet-Ritz Pie Crust Shell that bakes up tender and flaky as your finest homemade… letting you spend time creating the tasty filling. Then we add a spicy streusel topping for added crunchiness.
