Football Rice Krispie treats

Peanut butter football Rice Krispie treats

Yield: Makes 16 football-shaped treats
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Additional Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 package (10 oz., about 40) marshmallows OR 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 6 cups Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal OR Cocoa Krispies cereal

Instructions

    1. In large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
    2. Remove from heat.
    3. Mix 1/2 cup peanut butter to the marshmallow mixture.
    4. Add Rice Krispies, and stir until well-coated.
    5. Divide warm mixture into 16 football shapes about 3 inches long. Cool.
    6. Use prepared vanilla frosting to pipe on markings and stitching, and your team will cheer!

      Microwave method: In microwave-safe bowl, heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. (Microwave cooking times may vary.)
