Ingredients

  • 10-3/4 ounces condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon Durkee seasoned salt
  • 2 cups chopped, cooked chicken
  • 1 pound frozen broccoli, cauliflower and carrots, thawed and well-drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2.8 ounces Durkee french fried onions
  • 1 cup biscuit mix
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Combine soup, milk, salt, chicken, vegetables, 1/2 cup of cheese and French fried onions.
  2. Spread mixture into a greased 8- by 12-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake, uncovered, at 425 (F) for 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, combine biscuit mix, egg and milk to form a soft dough.
  5. Spoon over hot chicken mixture to form a lattice design.
  6. Bake, uncovered, at 425 (F) for 20 to 25 minutes or until biscuits are golden.
  7. Top lattice with remaining cheese and onions and bake 3 to 5 minutes, or until cheese melts and onions are lightly browned.
