Peanut sitting-pretties cookies: A retro recipe from the 60s & 70s
A bit unique in the world of cookies, Sitting Pretties are rolled in nuts before baking them halfway, then you make a divot with your finger (or something with a similar size and shape, like a small spoon) and return them to the oven for a few minutes more.
After you fill the top of the cooled “nests” with a little frosting, top each with one colorful egg-shaped m&m candy, and you’ll have a fun treat that kids will flock to try.
Here’s the cover image from the late 60s brochure this recipe came from! (They remind of us of the kids on the old Zoom TV show!)
