Decades ago, this rounded 1950s kitchen would have certainly been unique with its floor featuring a huge mid century modern graphic element.

You would have to look down to see that extra mod feature: a large light teal green asterisk/star shape set into the pale pink vinyl flooring.

The shape of the spokes followed the curve of the cabinetry, which created a rounded interior space that meant there was enough room for two or more people to work at once.

The mostly white cabinetry was accompanied by wood-fronted lower cabinets on one side, which matched the wall unit in the nearby family room.

The floor was made of Congoleum vinyl tile in the colors Coral Beach with inset Lagoon Turquoise. On the countertops, the shade of pale green was called Gulf Stream Green.
