One Response
After being an optional trim level on 1954-1957 Chevrolets, the Delray became a distinct series of its own at the bottom of Chevrolet’s lineup in 1958, replacing the discontinued 150. Befitting its bottom-end status, the Delray had minimal interior and exterior trim and limited options, selling for just over $2,000. Because of this, the Delray was popular with sales fleets, taxi companies, and police departments. For 1959 the Biscayne now occupied the bottom of Chevrolet’s three-rung model ladder, and with no further reason to exist, the Delray was dropped from production after just one year.
