Walnut chocolate chip cookies
Ingredients
- 2-1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chopped Diamond walnuts
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Resift flour with baking powder and salt.
- Combine butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the flour mixture, then the walnuts and chocolate.
- Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets, allowing room for spreading.
- Bake above oven center at 350 F about 15 minutes, until edges are lightly browned.
- Let stand a minute; remove to wire racks to cool.
Notes
Makes about 3-1/2 dozen cookies, each 2-3/4- to 3-inches in diameter.
